Visitor’s Guide
All are welcome to visit the monastery.
Daily visiting hours:
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Every Saturday:
Divine Liturgy is celebrated from 7:15 – 9:00 a.m.
Every Sunday:
Divine Liturgy is celebrated from 7:30 – 10:45 a.m.
The Holy Supplicatory Service (Paraklesis) to Saints Athanasios or Sophronios is chanted from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
We kindly ask that you respect the sanctity and silence of the monastery grounds.
Please enter dressed modestly.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises.
How to get to the Monastery by car
From Thessaloniki (approx. 200 km, ~2 h 30 min)
Take the Egnatia Odos (A2) west toward Kozani/Kastoria.
Continue past Kozani toward Kastoria.
Before Kastoria, take the exit toward Argos Orestikon. Then follow local road signs toward the villages Ammoudara, Asprokklisia, Nostimo. GPS is reliable up to Nostimo. Once you get to Nostimo, it is best to follow the signs leading to the monastery.
